What is an SDHC Card

An SDHC card is a memory card based on the SDA 2.00 specification, introduced by the SD Card Association. This means that an SDHC card can store much more data than an SD card -- from 4GB all the way up to 32GB.

The increased memory capacity is a huge benefit; especially to meet today's demands for a larger storage medium. If, for example, you want to shoot HD video, the large capacity SDHC Memory Card is your best choice. An SDHC Card is ideal for DSC, DSLR and DV users that want to record HD content but don't want the stress of worrying about how much storage they have left on their card. The SDHC card has become so versatile that is is replacing many traditional data storage solutions.

Please note, an SDHC card is the same size as a standard SD card, but the new SDHC cards are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on your camera, camcorder, etc.

What is USB Flash Drive

USB Flash Drives (also known as thumb drives, pen drives and, jump drives) are removable  flash memory  data storage devices that attach to a computer via a USB (Universal Serial Bus).  The first flash drives were available commercially in 2000 and were called the “DiskOnKey” and had a storage capacity of around 8MB – a tiny amount compared to today’s 120 MB drives.

Due to their size and capacity, flash drives have become extremely popular and are the perfect way to save the pictures, documents, music and movies you want to keep with you. The smallest flash drives are called thumb drives and are less than 1 ½ inches long yet still have a capacity of 16GB. They are so small that you can carry them on a keychain, in your wallet or pocket, and even wear them as accessories.

MemoryCardForSale.com carries name brands such as SanDisk and Kingston in capacities ranging from 1GB up to an amazing 128GB. You can customize your USB drive. Need to copy data over to multiple flash drives? No problem, we have the USB flash drive duplicator to help you.

What is micro SDHC card

A MicroSDHC card is a small SDHC card with a memory capacity from 4GB all the way up to 32GB. A Micro SDHC card works differently from a microSD card and will therefore require a new MicroSDHC card adapter. The majority of the micro SDHC cards that we sell come with the necessary adapters. Find an extensive selection of micro SDHC memory cards at MemoryCardForSale.com.

A MicroSDHC card offers first class data transfer performance, giving you an upgrade that is perfect for the latest batch of cell phones. The MicroSDHC can increase the storage capacity and transfer speed of data on your phone. This tiny card allows you to take high-resolution pictures or record HD video with your mobile phone.

What is MicroSD Card

Micro SD cards (also referred to as microSD) were at first called T-Flash, then TransFlash before ultimately being renamed as microSD when they were adopted by the SD Card Association (SDA). The micro SD was originally produced by SanDisk in 2005. As the name implies, the micro SD card is essentially an SD card, but in a much smaller package - typically the size of a fingernail. It was designed specifically to be one of the smallest removable flash memory card formats. MicroSD cards were specifically designed for use in some of the following applications: cell phones, GPS devices and portable audio players and expandable USB flash memory drives. MicroSD cards can also be used in SD-compatible devices via an SD adapter.

The microSD card was initially invented to meet the telecommunication industry’s needs for making cell phones smaller.  As a result it is much smaller than a SD Memory Card and measures only measuring 15mm x 11mm x 1mm. Some MicroSD cards require an adapter to convert the MicroSD card into a full size SD card. They are becoming increasingly popular because they are so small and slim mobile phones and the minute MP4 video players are increasingly using this innovative space saving technology

What is an SD Card

An SD card (Secure Digital memory cards) is a small, easy-to-use memory storage device made for a broad range of uses. The SD card makes sharing data between different computers easy, and is compatible with a wide variety of makes and models of computer. The format is already supported by over a thousand companies around the world. The SD Card is the standard memory card for digital connectivity. With its initial maximum capacity met, SD cards have expanded to the SDHC Card format, offering new levels of storage capacity. SD Cards are so popular that there are even Flash Memory Duplicators just for them and, unlike CDs and DVDs, cannot be scratched.

The SD card is a slightly unusual shape, but this is purposefully built into the design. It is asymmetrical so that it will not be inserted upside down. Another neat design feature is the fact that the card's electrical contacts are buried beneath the surface of the card, effectively protecting them from the fingers of the user.
